Here's how I help clients . . .
If you're looking at this page, you're among the special few. Because I take client confidentiality seriously, this portfolio of products for my work partners only includes material in the public domain and is shared solely with prospective clients who want to see how I might serve them. If these examples don't match up with the kind of assistance you need, please ask: There's a good chance I can help!

I write compelling video scripts.I work with strategic partner iDream.tv — an amazing Twin Cities video-production company — to tell the stories of nonprofit, government and education clients. This video's script makes use of a first-person narrator to describe Wellshare International's Survive and Thrive program, a microloan and health-education venture in Tanzania.

I write and edit policy documents. Here's a research brief on biopharmaceutical innovation I edited for the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative. It's the kind of technical, detail-oriented work I most like to do. Click here for a look at my nitty-gritty editing.

I ghost-write op-ed columns. This opinion column in South Africa's Mail & Guardian was solicited by GAVI, The Vaccine Alliance, to launch its international campaign against cervical cancer. The signatory was Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf. My job was to channel her voice — a challenge I especially enjoy.

I explain complex ideas in simple terms.I like to take complicated stuff and make it easy to understand. I produced this white paper for an insurance firm eager to educate insurance agents about navigating the health-reform landscape. If your project has many moving parts and involves explanation, I'm interested.

I help develop great websites.I've helped to conjure many terrific websites — often as a subcontractor for the technology wizards at Optum — and this is one of the latest. It's a wholesale revamp and tells the story of Optum360's revenue cycle management products in compelling language. Click on the image to see the whole works.
